People keep telling me I look young. Too young for my job, too young to be on my own, too young for my personality, view points, sense of self. Well, I may look too young for the life I'm leading, but I can assure you that doesn't change the fact I wake up each morning and am asked to face the day at hand. Truth be told, half the time, I wish I was too young for my life. Who wants to be old enough for invoices, deadlines, heart break, bills and the millions of other minutiae I traded younger days for.
Of late, it's been brought to my attention that the reason people think I'm so young, is that I am in fact, young. It seems while everyone else I know was talking about getting big kid jobs and apartments after college, I missed the memo that said talk about it, don't do it and actually did all that. Now, a year and a half after graduating, I've realized that I have everything I was working so hard for, but can't remember why I wanted it.
But hey, that's probably just my youth talking.
